The International Leading Group on SSE, coordinated by SSE International Forum, organized a high-level event on 28 September 2015 following the Addis Abeba Conference and under the François Hollande presidency with the aim of highlighting the link between SSE and the achievement of the SDGs and stressing the need for appropriate policies. The central theme of this event was “What concrete measures can Social and Solidarity Economy be supported at the national and international level in the context of the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals ?”.
The joint Declaration calls for the inclusion of SSE in the various process of SDGs, as well as the mobilization of the additional resources for UN agencies and their partners to facilitate SSE changing of scale. The joint declaration establishes three priority axis : a draft of an international legal guide on the legislation of SSE; the holding of an international conference on the financing of SSE and the implementation of new indicators of wealth, qualitative and quantitative, which will make it possible to measure the SSE’s impact.
SSE International Forum is convinced that the challenge of climate change and the shocks resulting from economic crises requires a greater resilience of households and communities.
